La Cour suprême de Gambie a rejeté mardi le recours du candidat malheureux à la présidentielle de début décembre, Ousainou Darboe, qui dénonçait des irrégularités, validant ainsi la réélection du chef de l’État sortant Adama Barrow.

Adama Barrow, dont l’accession à la présidence il y a cinq ans avait mis fin à plus de 20 années de dictature, a remporté la présidentielle du 4 décembre avec environ 53% des voix, contre environ 27% pour son principal adversaire, Ousainou Darboe, selon la commission électorale. M. Darboe avait, avant même la proclamation des résultats, exprimé avec deux autres candidats son intention de les contester, dénonçant des irrégularités.
