«Ce ralentissement s’est fait dans un contexte de hausse de 1,9 % du niveau général des prix, après une dépréciation de 0,8 % en 2018», souligne l’Ansd. Alors que le gouvernement s’est toujours targué d’une croissance continue de plus de 6 % depuis six années consécutives.
«En 2019, l’économie a continué, à l’instar des années précédentes, à être extrêmement dynamique avec, pour la 6ème année consécutive une croissance économique de plus de 6 %, ce qui a permis de maintenir, sur la période 2014-2019, une moyenne de la croissance économique à 6,5 %. Cette croissance s’est accompagnée d’une très faible inflation de 1 %, loin du seuil de 3 % fixé par les critères de convergence de l’Uemoa», déclarait Abdoulaye Daouda Diallo, le ministre des Finances et du Budget, dans un long entretien accordé au quotidien national Le Soleil, le 25 septembre 2019.
«Pour la deuxième phase du Plan Sénégal émergent (2019-2023), la dynamique de croissance s’intensifie passant de 6 % en 2019 à une prévision de 7 % en 2020 et 2021, avec une faible inflation», ajoutait le ministre.
Ainsi, l’Ansd donne ainsi raison à ceux qui ont toujours douté des chiffres fournis par le gouvernement. L’ancien Premier ministre Abdoul Mbaye devenu opposant qui a toujours douté des chiffres officiels, ne cesse d’accuser le gouvernement de gonfler artificiellement les chiffres de la croissance économique, notamment dans le domaine de l’agriculture.
