Président du Conseil économique, social et environnemental (CESE), Idrissa Seck vient de se prononcer sur la situation au Sénégal, marquée par plusieurs manifestations ces derniers jours. Le nouveau membre du gouvernement n’a pas été tendre envers le leader de Pastef, Ousmane Sonko, qu’il tient pour responsable de ce qui se passe au Sénégal.

De jeunes gens, nos fils, petits fils, sont sortis dans la rue pour semer la pagaille après qu’un citoyen sénégalais, traîné en justice par Adji Sarr pour une affaire de viol, a refusé de répondre, puis a finalement accepté. Mais entre temps, il a fait une déclaration et a appelé à la violence. J’ai été approché pour faire une médiation avec le président de la République, Macky Sall, puisque je suis proche de lui. Mais le prophète nous a conseillé d’aider nos proches s’ils sont persécutés, et de leur faire entendre raison s’ils persécutent. Ousmane Sonko est mon amis. S’il n’a rien fait, il n’a qu’à répondre devant la justice et faire comme moi quand j’avais été accusé. Sinon, je lui demande de se repentir, de demander pardon à ses proches et aux Sénégalais et ensuite accepter de subir les conséquences. Mais dire aux Sénégalais de mourir pour qu’il puisse s’en sortir, ce n’est pas des propos d’un responsable. Il faut qu’Ousmane Sonko dise à ses hommes qu’ils arrêtent de casser et de semer la pagaille. Sonko n’est pas le premier a être convoqué par la Justice.
