FC Barcelone : Lionel a pris sa décision

Les supporters du Barça peuvent pousser un grand ouf de soulagement ! Lionel Messi sera toujours l’un des leurs la saison prochaine. A en croire une information divulguée par beIN SPORTS MENA, la star argentine a décidé, au bout d’une longue et mure réflexion, d’étirer son séjour au Nou Camp. Elle sera blaugrana pendant au moins une saison supplémentaire.

Le Barça, à défaut de mieux pour Messi ?
Il y a un an, Messi avait été tout proche de quitter la formation catalane. C’était même son souhait, mais la direction du club s’est opposée à sa libération. Il est donc resté un peu à contrecœur et beaucoup pensaient que l’exercice 2020/2021 allait être son dernier en Catalogne. Et le fait qu’il ait étiré le suspense ces derniers mois en retardant sa prise de décision n’a fait qu’alimenter l’hypothèse d’une séparation à venir.

Au bout du compte, même si l’information sera officielle seulement lors de la signature de la prolongation, le sextuple Ballon d’Or a donc choisi de continuer. Est-ce parce qu’il croit en l’avenir du club et dans le projet que lui a présenté le nouveau président Joan Laporta, ou parce qu’il n’a pas reçu d’offre susceptible de l’amener à changer d’air malgré l’intérêt du PSG et de Manchester City ? Voire même un peu des deux ? La question mérite d’être posée. Mais, toujours est-il que la nouvelle de son engagement est une excellente nouvelle pour le Barça. La campagne à venir sera la 18e du club catalan avec le génie de Rosario dans ses rangs.
