Depuis sa retraite internationale, l’ancien footballeur français laisse toujours parler de lui. Mais cette fois, son sport favori est la fréquence dans les émissions françaises où il ne cesse de foudroyer une partie de l’opinion, à travers ses déclarations quelques fois, inqualifiables.
Selon nos confrères de Afriquesports, Evra, qui est né à Dakar, avait le droit de représenter son pays de naissance, le Sénégal, la Guinée, par son père, le Cap-Vert par sa mère et la France, où il a grandi.
Cependant, l’ancien arrière gauche de la Juventus a choisi de représenter la France au niveau international.
S’adressant au Morning Show d’Arise News, Evra a déclaré qu’il avait décidé de jouer pour la France parce qu’il voulait jouer avec les grands joueurs, ajoutant que c’était politique. Il a déclaré : « C’est pourquoi j’ai dit à tous les footballeurs de choisir soigneusement leur équipe nationale.
« Je suis né au Sénégal. Je pouvais jouer pour le Sénégal ou la France, j’en ai parlé avec mes parents.
« J’ai grandi en France, mon choix était naturel de jouer pour la France parce que vous pensez à jouer avec les grands joueurs mais en fait c’est juste de la politique.
