La Commission féminine de l’Association Nationale de la Presse Sportive du Sénégal étend ses tentacules dans le social. Et ceci en plein mois béni de Ramadan.
En effet, ce jeudi matin la commission féminine de l’ANPS a fait un don important aux enfants de l’hôpital Albert Royer de Fann.
Le don est composé de céréales, de savons, de laits pour les nourrissons etc. Un geste de haute portée magnifié par la Directrice de l’hôpital qui demande à l’Association d’être son interprète auprès des autorités et autres bonnes volontés du pays.
Mme DIAKITE Soda Thiam, présidente de la dite Commission, a soutenu qu’il s’agit là d’une première, mais que son association n’entend pas s’arrêter en si bon chemin. Elle compte poursuivre ce genre d’actions sociales.
Quant à Abdoulaye Thiam, Président de l’ANPS, il dit avoir pris bonne note de la doléance de la direction de Albert Royer.
Ce geste des femmes de la presse sportive du Sénégal prouve, si besoin en était, qu’au delà du sport, l’ANPS mène aussi beaucoup d’actions d’utilité publique dans divers domaines.
Pour rappel, l’hôpital d’enfants Albert Royer de Dakar a été créé en 1981. La structure fait partie du Centre hospitalier universitaire (CHU) de Fann.
La cérémonie de ce jeudi matin coïncide avec la célébration de la journée mondiale de la santé. Une journée mondiale de sensibilisation à la santé célébrée chaque année le 7 avril, sous le parrainage de l’Organisation mondiale de la santé (OMS), ainsi que d’autres organisations connexes.
