PÈLERINAGE À LA MECQUE : Aïssata Tall Sall Dicte Les Conditions

Le Sénégal va convoyer aux lieux saints de l’islam, en Arabie Saoudite, 5.822 pèlerins dont 2.000 pour la mission officielle et 3.822 pour les voyagistes privés, a annoncé mercredi, la ministre des Affaires étrangères et des Sénégalais de l’extérieur Aïssata Tall Sall.’’Cette année, le royaume d’Arabie Saoudite a décidé d’accueillir au total, 1 million de pèlerins (…) pour des raisons liées à la Covid-19’’, a-t-elle indiqué.

La ministre s’exprimait lors d’un point de presse dans les locaux de son ministère, en présence du délégué général au pèlerinage, Abdou Aziz Kébé, et de plusieurs voyagistes privés.

’’Sur ce quota, il a été attribué au Sénégal un total de 5822 pélerins affectés. Sur ce quota, la mission nationale au pèlerinage aura 2000 et les voyagistes privés se répartiront 3.822 pélerins’’, a-t-elle détaillé. Aïssata Tall Sall a aussi indiqué que conformément à la décision du royaume d’Arabie Saoudite, les pèlerins autorisés à remplir le cinquième pilier de l’islam doivent être âgés de 65 ans au plus.

La ministre a informé que le package pour les frais du voyage et du séjour en terre saoudienne est fixé à 4.200.000 de francs CFA. Chaque pays devra convoyer ces pèlerins à bord de sa compagnie nationale.

’’Par conséquent, les pèlerins sénégalais, pour cette année, vont voyager à bord d’Air Sénégal’’, a-t-elle notamment fait savoir.

’’Ce sont des conditions que tous les pays ont acceptées’’, a ajouté la ministre des Affaires étrangères et des Sénégalais de l’extérieur.

Selon elle, la hausse du coût du package est liée à l’augmentation des prix du carburant consécutive à la guerre en Ukraine et à la hausse du taux de la monnaie saoudienne.

La ministre a, en outre, annoncé que le président de la République a décidé d’octroyer un terrain pour ériger une Maison du pèlerin aux environs de l’aéroport militaire Léopold-Sédar-Senghor.

Elle a aussi fait part de la volonté du chef de l’Etat, avec l’appui du royaume d’Arabie Saoudite, de réaliser à Dakar, un musée dédié à l’islam.
