Maxime Jean-Simon Ndiaye a été aperçu, la semaine dernière, au Palais de la République. D’après Enquête, qui donne l’information dans son édition de ce lundi, il a été reçu par le Président Macky Sall. Il était en compagnie, précise le journal, d’un autre haut fonctionnaire dont le nom n’a pas fuité.
Maxime Jean-Simon Ndiaye était en terrain connu. Il a été, en effet, secrétaire général adjoint de la présidence avant d’être le titulaire du poste à la suite du départ de Aminata Tall.
Au détour de la présidentielle de 2019, il est devenu le secrétaire général du gouvernement. Mais il sera limogé un peu plus de deux ans plus tard, lors du remaniement du 2 novembre 2021. Depuis, il est retourné à l’Inspection générale d’Etat.
Maxime Jean-Simon Ndiaye va-t-il effectuer son retour dans le gouvernement ? Enquête s’est posé la question, sans donner une réponse. Le journal s’est borné à affirmer que «le chef de l’Etat, qui était tombé dans le piège de quelques faucons du Palais, s’est vite rendu-compte qu’il ne devait pas se séparer» de ce haut fonctionnaire réputé aussi discret que travailleur
