L’enfant revenait de son école coranique lorsqu’il s’est dirigé vers une zone inondée, réputée pour abriter des poissons vivants. Il aurait tenté de pêcher, selon des témoins sur place, avant de glisser et disparaître dans les eaux.
Alertés, les sapeurs-pompiers sont intervenus pour repêcher le corps sans vie de l’enfant. Celui-ci a été transporté à la morgue de l’hôpital Matlabul Fawzeini de Touba.
Ce drame relance les inquiétudes sur les dangers que représentent les zones inondées pour les enfants, particulièrement en période de fortes pluies.
