Il est reproché à l’édile de la commune, «un trou de quelque millions dans les 7 millions donnés par les bonnes volontés de la commune résidants au pays et à l’étranger dans le plan de résilience économique et sociale» .
Selon Monsieur Abou Dia Dia, Djiby Mbaye qui se retrouve maire de Pete n’aurait dépensé moins et à d’autres fins.Pour lui le maire ne parvient toujours pas à justifier les dépenses effectuées jusque-là, ni à communiquer sur le reste de l’argent.
Pour Hamidou Aly Diallo « malgré la demande d’information introduite par les habitants de Pete, concernant ce don, le maire n’a encore voulu donner aucune explication. Les dépenses de cet argent restent inconnus jusqu’à présent par les populations. « Nous exigeons donc des éclaircissements en vertu du droit à l’information, mais aussi du droit de contrôle du citoyen » dixit M. Diallo
Joint au téléphone,l’édile de PETE estime que «ce sont juste quelques jeunes qui s’agitent». Et derrière cette «agitation» se cache «des politiciens par procuration».
Il ajoute que toutes les dépenses sont effectuées sous le contrôle des membres du comité adhoc, qui est composé du commandant de la brigade de Pete, du chef des service d’hygiène, de l’inspecteur d’académie et de quelque conseillers que sont Abou Moussa Ly, Abou Demba Anne, et Amadou Ly secrétaire municipal les badjienou khox et les Organisations communautaires de base. Il conclut qu’un bilan sera fait après les activités afin d’éclairer l’opinion.
