Face à la recrudescence des cas de Covid-19 en France, Emmanuel Macron a annoncé de nouvelles mesures contraignantes ce mercredi soir lors d’une interview télévisée, pour tenter d’endiguer la pandémie et éviter un reconfinement général aux conséquences économiques et sociales catastrophiques. Un couvre-feu de 21h à 6h entrera en vigueur samedi 17 octobre à partir de minuit en Ile-de-France et huit métropoles.
« Il nous faut réagir » car la situation est « préoccuppante » a d’emblée déclarée Emmanuel Macron. Face à la recrudescence des cas et l’augmentation inquiétante du nombre de patients dans les services de réanimation, le président de la République a annoncé qu’un couvre-feu de 21h à 6h allait entrer en vigueur à partir de samedi 17 octobre à minuit et ce pour quatre semaines en Ile-de-France et dans huit grandes métropoles.
Les derniers chiffres montrent encore une augmentation globale du nombre de personnes en réanimation, qui sont aujourd’hui 1 633 pour une capacité actuelle nationale d’environ 5.000 lits, et 84 décès en 24 heures, avec un bilan global de près de 33 000 morts en sept mois.
Le gouvernement a par ailleurs rétabli mercredi par décret l’état d’urgence sanitaire, qui donne un cadre juridique à certaines restrictions, à partir du 17 octobre à minuit sur l’ensemble du territoire national, en raison de l’aggravation de l’épidémie de Covid-19. Cette aggravation « justifie que l’état d’urgence sanitaire soit déclaré afin que les mesures strictement proportionnées aux risques sanitaires encourus et appropriées aux circonstances de temps et de lieu puissent être prises », indique le compte-rendu du Conseil des ministres
