Une dizaine de prisonniers du Hirak ont été libérés vendredi en Algérie, après une grâce accordée par le président Abdelmadjid Tebboune, à la veille du 2e anniversaire du soulèvement de ce mouvement de contestation du pouvoir, selon des défenseurs des droits humains.

Une dizaine de prisonniers du mouvement algérien de contestation Hirak ont retrouvé leur liberté, vendredi 19 février, après une grâce accordée par le président Abdelmadjid Tebboune, ont rapporté des défenseurs des droits de l’Homme. Cela intervient à la veille du deuxième anniversaire du début de ce soulèvement antirégime et qui a poussé l’ancien président Abdelaziz Bouteflika à quitter le pouvoir.
Le Comité national de libération des détenus (CNLD) a fait part sur Facebook de la libération d’une dizaine de prisonniers. D’autres sont attendues vendredi encore.
Selon le militant Zaki Hannache, engagé dans la défense des prisonniers d’opinion, ces libérations ont notamment eu lieu dans les wilayas (préfectures) de Bordj Bou Arreridj, Tebessa, M’sila (est), Saïda (ouest), ainsi que dans le Sud, à Tamanrasset et Adrar.
Jeudi 18 février, dans un discours à la Nation très attendu, Abdelmadjid Tebboune a annoncé une grâce présidentielle en faveur de dizaines de détenus du Hirak, perçue comme un geste d’apaisement à l’égard du mouvement de protestation.
« En tout, entre 55 et 60 personnes rejoindront à partir de ce soir ou demain leurs familles », a-t-il promis, en référence aux personnes graciées, sans divulguer de noms. Un tweet de la présidence algérienne a précisé que la mesure concernait les « auteurs de crimes liés aux technologies de l’information et de la communication ».
