Les violentes manifestations ayant opposé, dimanche dernier les populations de Diohine, dans la région de Fatick, aux forces de l’ordre, ont fait un mort. La victime, un homme d’une soixantaine d’années, est décédée d’un malaise au centre hospitalier régional de Fatick.
Selon ses proches, le défunt est mort des suites d’un Avc (accident vasculaire cérébral) après avoir inhalé du gaz lacrymogène, a rapporté la Rfm dans son édition de la mi-journée.
La même source renseigne toutefois que le calme est revenu, ce lundi matin, dans la localité.
Pour rappel, les populations de Diohine réclamaient le départ du marabout Bara Sène qu’elles accusent de vouloir saper la cohabitation pacifique entre musulmans et chrétiens de ce village. Les forces de l’ordre ont dû s’en prendre violemment aux manifestants. Lors des échauffourées, 14 personnes, dont 6 gendarmes, ont été blessées et 39 manifestants interpellés.
Ces derniers ont tous été libérés dimanche dans la soirée.
