C’est malheureusement fait : en Guinée, des militaires ont tenté et viennent de réussir un coup d’Etat.
Depuis les environs de 8h ce dimanche, des tirs nourris étaient entendus autour de Sékoutoureya, le palais présidentiel où se trouve le chef de l’État, Alpha Condé. Celui-ci se porte bien et est sous la protection de sa garde présidentielle.
« Depuis 8 heures du matin (heure locale), des tirs à l’arme automatique retentissent à Kaloum, quartier des affaires, administratif et siège du palais présidentiel », a rapporté le média local, « Guinée News ».
Aucune explication n’était disponible dans un premier temps sur les raisons de cet excès de tension sur la presqu’île de Kaloum, centre de Conakry, où siègent la présidence, les institutions et les bureaux d’affaires. Les autorités sont restées jusqu’alors silencieuses sur une situation très confuse.
