Finale Coupe du Sénégal : Diambars À L’ Assaut Du Casa Sport Pour Le Graal

La finale de la Coupe du Sénégal a lieu ce samedi, à 17h au stade Lat Dior de Thiès. Elle verra s’opposer le Diambars de Saly et le Casa Sport de Ziguinchor pour la 60e édition. Ce sera une confrontation très intéressante entre deux équipes qui se sont déjà affrontées 2 fois, cette saison.

C’est le grand soir. La finale de la 60e édition de la dame-coupe va connaître son dénouement cet après-midi sur le pelouse de Lat Dior. Opposant le Diambars au Casa Sport, les formations ont connu des saisons bien différentes, puisque si les académiciens de Saly ont réussi à décrocher la seconde place du championnat sénégalais synonyme pour cette édition une participation aux tours préliminaires de la Coupe des Confédérations, les Casasais eux se sont contentés d’une 6e position. Cette saison, les deux équipes se sont opposées à deux reprises sans connaitre vraiment un vainqueur. Un triste match nul et vierge (0-0) à l’aller s’en ai suivi un score également de parité (1-1) lors de la rencontre retour en Ligue 1.

Pour cette compétition, au nombre de titres, avantage le Casa Sport. Les Sudistes en ont remporté deux fois (1979 et 2011) et joueront une huitième finale de cette coupe phare de la Fédération sénégalaise de football. Diambars qui a dans son armoire à trophée toutes les coupes nationales à l’exception de celle nommée Coupe du Sénégal aura à cœur de remporter celle-ci pour la première fois de son histoire.
