CASAMANCE : L’armée Démantèle Et Dévoile Des Champs De ‘‘Yamba’’

L’Armée nationale a saisi plusieurs tonnes de chanvre indien dans des bases rebelles conquises récemment le long de la bande frontalière avec la Gambie, a appris l’APS jeudi d’une source sécuritaire.
’’Des opérations de fouilles se poursuivent dans plusieurs villages et dans les bases. Des quantités importantes de chanvre indien ont été saisies puis incinérées sur place’’, a confié à l’APS le responsable de la Direction de l’information et des relations publiques des armées (DIRPA), le Colonel Alexis Grégoire Vasse.
’’Au village d’Elol et dans ses alentours, 74 sacs de chanvre et 56 bidons de graines ont été découvertes. A Massaran, une autre base rebelle conquise, 12 sacs de chanvre de 50 kilogramme, 9 bidons de 20 litres, 5 autres bidons de 5 litres remplis de semences de chanvre, ainsi que 107 cornets d’un kilogramme ont été saisis’’, a poursuivi l’Officier
Dans le cadre de ces opérations, 53 sacs ont été découverts à Guinea Djadjoubé, un village sur la bande frontalière. 46 autres sacs ont été saisis dans le village de Djoundji.
Dans le Nord Massaran, un total de 66 sacs de 50 kilogrammes et cinq bidons de 20 litres remplis de graines de chanvre en guise de semences ont été aussi incinérées, selon des informations transmises à l’APS par la DIRPA.
Depuis plus d’un mois l’Armée nationale mène des opérations de sécurisation dans la partie sud du pays, avec comme objectif principal la neutralisation des bases rebelles appartenant à Salif Sadio, un chef de guerre du Mouvement des forces démocratiques de la Casamance (MFDC, rébellion).
Toutes les bases du chef de guerre ont été prises et occupées par les militaires qui y mènent une opération de fouille pour ’’tuer toute l’économie criminelle qui sé déroule dans la zone’’, selon la DIRPA.
