60 mille tonnes d’oignons en souffrance entre les communes de Pout, Ndiender et Keur Mousseu

Situé à 7 km de Pout, le Village de Touba Ngomene était le point de ralliement des producteurs d’oignon de Keur Mousseu, Pout et Diender. Ces producteurs ne savent plus où donner de la tête.  En effet, ils peinent à écouler les milliers de tonnes d’oignons qu’ils ont produits. Ils ne trouvent pas d’acheteurs, c’est pourquoi ils ont arboré des sacs d’oignons vides leurs servant de brassards rouges.
« Nous les producteurs de Touba Ngomene, nous sommes fatigués, nous n’arrivons pas à vendre ce que nous produisons. Nous les jeunes, nous avons même abandonné nos études et des postes de travail pour le maraîchage. Maintenant, rien ne marche, nous sommes foutus. Vous-mêmes vous voyez que la qualité de notre production ne souffre d’aucun problème « ,
explique un des producteurs visiblement désespéré.
« L’État protège les étrangers au détriment des locaux »
« La concurrence nous tue, plus de 60 tonnes sont là, invendables. Nous ne parlons  pas de bénéfice mais plutôt de survie. Nous parlons de notre avenir et l’avenir de nos enfants qui sont  actuellement en danger. Les ministres du Commerce, de l’Agriculture et des Finances ont atteint leurs limites. Les producteurs étrangers qui ont leurs licences, c’est pour l’exportation mais pour concurrencer les Sénégalais, ils se sont accaparés du marché local en écoulant moins cher. Vous voyez que nous sommes concurrencés de façon déloyale. Nous avons d’énormes difficultés à écouler l’oignon. Nous comptons barrer la route nationale si rien n’est fait » menace la fédération des producteurs d’oignons.
Plus loin, la fédération réclame la tête du ministre du Commerce qui aux yeux des producteurs a atteint ses limites.
 » Nous sollicitons une rencontre avec le président  de la république Macky Sall  pour l’informer de ce que nous vivons », insistent-ils.
