A l’instar de la proclamation du Sud-africain, Patrice Motsepe comme président de la Confédération Africaine de Football, Maître Augustin Senghor a été déclaré premier vice-président de la CAF ce vendredi au Maroc.
Alors qu’il était candidat à la présidence de l’instance du football africaine, le président de la Fédération Sénégalaise de Football, Me Augustin Senghor a finalement accepté le compromis de Rabat pour être déclaré ce vendredi au Maroc, le 1er vice-président de la CAF après la proclamation de Patrice Motsepe à la tête de l’instance dirigeante. Cette décision, clamée par le pouls d’autorités sénégalaises au nom de l’unité africaine autour du football, est saluée par le ministre des sports Matar Bâ.
Pour la première fois, un Sénégalais occupe un tel niveau de responsabilité au sein de l’instance dirigeante du football africain. “Je pense que tout le monde devrait se glorifier du nouveau poste de Maître Augustin au sein de la CAF. C’est la première fois qu’un sénégalais occupe un tel poste. D’ailleurs c’est la première fois aussi qu’un Sénégalais se déclare candidat à la présidence de la CAF. Et pour quelqu’un qui convoitait le poste de président, la vice-présidence est à saluée”, se glorifie le ministre des sports, Monsieur Matar Bâ face à la présence ce vendredi, en parallèle à la cérémonie de la CAF.
