L’hôpital, ce lieu mythique qui sert à rétablir la santé de l’être humain, s’est-il offert un tout autre rôle dont celui de précipiter la mort de malades?
Voilà qu’une information le concernant, et des plus dramatiques, vient d’occuper la Une des journaux. En effet, il s’agit ce jour, d’une victime de plus, qui vient de s’ajouter à ces nombreuses plaintes brandies à l’endroit des acteurs de la santé. On nous apprend que celle-ci, une femme enceinte se plaignait de douleurs très intenses qu’elle ressentait. Devant un tel constat, nous sommes en droit et en devoir de nous demander qui sont vraiment, ces personnes qui évoluent dans les structures de santé?
Sont-elles vraiment conscientes de leurs responsabilités, surtout celle en relation avec la vie ou la mort des patients?
Les causes de telles négligences peuvent être jugées sous plusieurs angles.

Rappelons l’histoire du faux médecin qui dispensait des soins dans un grand hôpital de la place en mars 2020. À l’insu de plusieurs de ses collègues, Amadou Samba avait usurpé son titre, mettant en danger la vie de plusieurs personnes. Nous nous souvenons qu’un vigile d’un centre de santé, situé à Guediawaye, donnait des soins payants, à l’absence des médecins de la même structure et à l’insu du corps médical.
Les médecins, comme les enseignants sont constamment en grève dans ce pays et tous les ans, avec comme principal point de revendications: La précarité salariale.
Sous-payés, ces acteurs de la santé, sont-ils entièrement responsables de ces problématiques qui gangrènent le secteur?

Leur objectif est de sauver des vies mais qui sauve les leurs face aux difficultés financières, morales, endurées dans le milieu de la santé, sans compter les véritables risques sanitaires du métier.
La pandémie de la COVID19 a déterré les réels problèmes de logistique de la Santé au Sénégal. Combien de médecins sont morts infectés dans l’exercice de leur fonction?
De toute évidence, le secteur de la santé reste très problématique et une assise nationale s’impose pour remédier à toutes ces difficultés.
