Le président la Chambre de commerce Portugal-Sénégal est inculpé pour trafic de migrants

Gonçalo Terenas qui préside la Chambre de commerce et d’industrie et de promotion culturelle Portugal – Sénégal et Afrique de l’Ouest, est inculpé depuis le 10 mars dernier sous le régime du contrôle judicaire pour trafic de migrants, faux et usage de faux dans des documents administratifs.

Six (6) jours plutôt, Terenas a été discrètement cueilli à l’AIBD alors qu’il revenait de Dubai via un vol 795 de la compagnie Emirates. Il a été ensuite déféré à la Division nationale de lutte contre le trafic de migrants (DNLT). Il est ressorti de l’enquête qu’il a grugé plus de 70 candidats à l’émigration clandestine.

Une cinquantaine de passeports saisis

Lors de la perquisition effectuée dans ses locaux à Nord Foire, les enquêteurs ont saisi 48 passeports sénégalais comportant un dossier d’enregistrement ou un dossier de demande de visa, un cachet de « Senegal4wor », un cachet « Cunha Barroso Sénégal », un cachet de la chambre de commerce et d’industrie Portugal-Sénégal, un cachet de « West africain international « Wati » et un cachet de « Caecchao ».

Interrogé, il confie que ces passeports lui ont été remis par les titulaires lesquels désirent se faire délivrer un visa pour le Portugal en vue de trouver un travail.

La poursuite de la perquisition a permis de trouver dans une armoire, quatre enveloppe différentes contenant 40 passeports sénégalais, 3 passeports guinéens, 4 passeports congolais de Kinshasa et 1 passeport bissau-guinéen.

Placé sous contrôle judiciaire, le parquet qui a requis le mandat de dépôt a fait appel. La balle est dans le camp de la chambre d’accusation de la Cour d’appel.

Terenas dirige aussi le consortium multisectoriel luso-africain, Sénégal Business Cluster avec des bureaux à Dakar, Dubaï, Abidjan et Lisbonne, à travers lequel il détient le Bureau d’expansion Économie de l’Afrique de l’Ouest qui développe des relations bilatérales entre le marché portugais et les principales économies de la région de l’Union économique et monétaire ouest-africaine (UEMOA).
