Depuis, qu’on a annoncé la sortie du livre de M. Thierno Alassane Sall : « Le protocole de l’Elysée » qui est une mise à nu minutieuse des sales manigances et deals sur le dos du peuple sénégalais et de ses intérêts vitaux, on a assisté à une levée de boucliers chez certains tenants du régime qui sont vite sortis en ordre de bataille pour traiter son auteur de tous les noms d’oiseaux. Ils sont allés même jusqu’à saboter les affiches du livre comme s’ils voulaient cacher quelque chose de terrifiant aux Sénégalais sur la manière dont ils ont réellement géré les ressources du pays. Pourtant, l’auteur a fait une analyse, voire un diagnostic exhaustif et sans complaisance de la situation du Sénégal de 1960 à nos jours, sans a priori ni une fixation particulière sur le régime en place, en dénonçant les actes anti-patriotiques de prévarication et de spoliation des biens publics qui ont jalonné la marche du pays et dont il a été parfois et pour certains faits un témoin clé en tant que DG et deux fois Ministres. Ainsi, comme tout bon patriote, conscient des véritables enjeux d’un Sénégal en pleine mutation, il a non seulement l’obligation mais aussi le devoir d’alerter et d’attirer l’attention de l’opinion nationale et internationale sur la gestion nébuleuse et catastrophique des ressources du pays par un régime qui semble ne pas comprendre l’immensité de sa responsabilité devant les générations futures. En effet, dans un contexte de démocratie, instance par excellence de l’expression des idées éventuellement divergentes , de choc des ambitions et de confrontation des opinions, si M.Thierno Alassane Sall prend ses responsabilités pour éclairer le débat politique sur les questions majeures dans un ouvrage riche captivant et factuel qui utilise une grille d’analyse des évènements, révélatrice du talent et du haut niveau intellectuel de l’auteur, alors cela devrait naturellement susciter un intérêt certain pour tout citoyen soucieux du devenir de son pays. Un voyage au cœur d’un système de prédation foncière et pétro-gazière digne de la « mafia italienne », il faut vraiment s’en féliciter au lieu de le dénigrer et de le jeter en pâture comme s’il n’avait pas le droit de se prononcer sur les questions qui interpellent le devenir de toute une Nation. Hélas, je dois à la vérité de dire que les tenants du pouvoir en place ont tendance à développer une allergie à la critique qui frise la paranoïa comme si tout était parfait dans leur vision et dans leur action. Ainsi, dès qu’un opposant ou un contradicteur émet un avis contraire, on s’acharne sur lui avec des arguments bidons du genre « il a franchi le rubicond des secrets dits d’État », « il faut savoir raison garder….etc ». Or, en tant que citoyen, M.Thierno Alassane sall sans être nihiliste est dans son rôle de critique constructive et de dénonciation de la mauvaise gouvernance. Cela est d’autant plus vrai que cette gestion du pays connaît beaucoup de lacunes dans la détermination des véritables priorités par rapport aux besoins de la population en paupérisation croissante. D’ailleurs, en droit, la non dénonciation des délits et crimes est qualifiée comme une infraction. C’est pourquoi M. Thierno Alassane Sall a bel et bien le droit de souligner et d’insister sur les manquements dans les choix du Président et dans l’action du gouvernement comme la légèreté et l’irresponsabilité qui ont présidées à la signature des contrats pétroliers et tant d’autres…

En dernière analyse, il appartient aux Sénégalais, à l’avenir d’être plus exigeants sur le choix des leaders politiques qui ont l’ambition de présider à leur destinée, en se fondant sur une enquête de moralité et un test de citoyenneté patriotique mais surtout de prendre le soin de discuter et de débattre sereinement sur toutes ces questions comme dans les grandes démocraties. Ce qui permettra au peuple de trancher dans la sérénité et en toute lucidité au lieu de se laisser emporter par quelque passion que ce soit.
