Lundi, Paul Kagame a estimé dans un entretien à France 24 et RFI que la décision revenait sur ce point à Paris, tout en soulignant qu’il « apprécierait » le geste.
La question du rôle de la France avant, pendant et après le génocide des Tutsi du Rwanda, a été un sujet brûlant pendant des années et a même conduit à la rupture des relations diplomatiques entre Paris et Kigali entre 2006 et 2009.
