Les Personnes Atteintes De Maladies Pulmonaires Doivent Obligatoirement Se Faire Vacciner (pneumologue)

La pneumologue Nafissatou Oumar Touré a exhorté jeudi les personnes atteintes de maladies pulmonaires ou respiratoires chroniques à se faire obligatoirement vacciner et à continuer à se faire suivre dans les structures de santé pour éviter de se faire infecter par le virus à coronavirus. « Les personnes asthmatiques, bronchitiques avec fibrose ou avec une insuffisance respiratoire chronique doivent obligatoirement continuer à se faire vacciner et à se faire suivre dans les structures de santé », a insisté la pneumologue, cheffe du service pneumologie de l’hôpital Fann. S’exprimant lors du point quotidien sur l’évolution de la maladie à coronavirus au Sénégal, elle juge « extrêmement important » que ces personnes se considèrent et s’acceptent « comme personnes fragiles ». Ainsi pourraient-elles plus facilement prendre « les dispositions nécessaires pour que cette infection à Covid-19 ne les atteigne pas » ou que ces personnes « ne développent pas des formes graves ». « L’infection à Covid ne devrait pas leur faire peur au point de ne pas aller fréquenter les structures sanitaires pour voir leurs médecins ou pour un suivi de leurs pathologies », souligne la cheffe du service pneumologie de l’hôpital Fann. Selon Nafissatou Oumar Touré, ces personnes doivent aller se faire consulter pour bénéficier d’un traitement correct pour arriver à « un équilibre de leurs pathologies chroniques », afin de réduire les risques de développer des formes graves de la maladie. De même doivent-elles continuer leur traitement « sans l’interrompre et évidemment avec un suivi même à distance et en fonction de ce que leur médecin aura préconisé ».  « En dehors de cette prise en charge de leurs pathologies, ces personnes doivent mettre en place des mesures de prévention » contre l’infection à Covid « mais également mettre en place des mesures par rapport à tous les autres facteurs de risques de déstabilisation de leurs maladies », poursuit-elle
