Condamné à un mois de sursis : Pape Mahawa Diouf compte interjetter appel

Le porte-parole adjoint de l’Alliance pour la République (APR), Pape Mahawa Diouf, a été condamné, ce lundi, à un mois de prison avec sursis, par le tribunal des flagrants délits de Dakar. Le juge a, par ailleurs, débouté l’Agence sénégalaise d’électrification rurale (ASER) de sa demande de constitution de partie civile.

Joint par la RFM, l’un de ses avocats, Me El Hadj Diouf, a contesté la décision. Il annonce son intention d’interjeter appel. Selon lui, leur client aurait dû être relaxé purement et simplement.

« L’ASER a été déboutée parce que sa constitution de partie civile a été jugée irrecevable, alors que c’est elle qui avait porté plainte contre Pape Mahawa Diouf. La plainte n’a pas abouti, la diffamation a été écartée et la diffusion de fausses nouvelles retenue ne saurait justifier une condamnation », a déclaré Me Diouf.

« Notre client n’a diffusé aucune fausse nouvelle. Le tribunal aurait dû le relaxer après avoir écarté la constitution de partie civile de l’ASER. Nous allons faire appel, car il ne doit pas être condamné », a-t-il ajouté.

Pour rappel, Pape Mahawa Diouf était poursuivi pour diffusion de fausses nouvelles, à la suite de propos tenus lors de l’émission « Faram Facce » diffusée le 17 septembre 2025 sur la Télévision futurs médias (TFM).
