Selon cette communication de la Primature d’Haïti, un groupe d’individus non identifiés, dont certains parlaient espagnol, ont attaqué la résidence privé du Président, blessant mortellement Jovenel Moise. La Première Dame, Martine Moise, serait également blessée par balle.
Le Premier ministre a condamné « cet acte odieux, inhumain et barbare », tout en appelant la population au calme. Tous les mesures seraient en place pour garantir la continuité de l’Etat alors que la police nationale et les forces armées sont sur le qui-vive.
